Pony Club

Here's Sara and Badger after they had completed their testing! He was such a good boy, he earned himself a few treats back at the barn. Also, the girls in the picture below are the peers of the girls taking the tests. I think it's wonderful to teach these kids how to administer test, complete them and help the "newbies" feel more comfortable.
Sara will be heading out this coming Sunday for "OPENING DAY" for the foxhunt season. She will not however be wearing a red jacket, as they have to earn those (kind of like earning your stripes in the army)

Certificate Time

Here's Sara after being awarded her D1 and D2 certificates for the Pony Club Ratings. D1 is the first level when you are a new member. Because that was the first level, they went ahead and completed the second level also. They now want Sara to go and try for her D3 Rating, which is much more involved. This one will take place around December 27. We will have to see if she has managed to soak up the amount of book knowledge that she will need to take it then. We will certainly keep you all posted.

"Catfish Bob"

As you can see, Bob is having a wonderful time with having a pond behind our house! In his spare time, he throws out a line to see what the catch of the day will bring him. Yesterday, he pulled in several huge Catfish. He looked like a little kid pulling in his first ever fish. Anyway, after taking the bait and hook out of the mouth, he gave all of the Catfish to the Mexican workers who were working on a house next door. They were thrilled with their "fresh catch" for dinner.
